Il Coro del Lunedì:

The Roman “Il Coro del Lunedì” was founded in 1979 by Cesare Pocci, engineer and passionate musician. He performs polyphonic, sacred and profane music and specializes in the traditional folk song of the various Italian regions.

The Choir has brought its music all over Europe, in Israel, in Lebanon and in the main Italian cities in events with charitable or cultural purposes. In 2005 he toured the United States on the occasion of the month of Italian culture, as a guest of the Italian Heritage and Culture Month based in New York.

He had the honor of singing for John Paul II, Benedict XVI and for Pope Francis; in 1992 she sang for the Prince of Wales and, over the course of forty years of activity, she participated in numerous choral reviews. She sang on several occasions at the NATO Defense College Command of Cecchignola and in March 2013 she gave a concert at the UNIFIL base in Shama in Lebanon.
In recent years – on the occasion of the commemoration of the Great War, he took part in various public events organized by the Armed Forces, exhibiting his own repertoire of songs from the 1915-18 epic.

The Monday Choir has published three CDs entitled “A spasso per l’Italia”, dedicated to the songs of Italian regional traditions and organizes, every two years, the Popular Song Review “Tanto per Cantare”, which hosted the most prestigious choirs from all over Italy and has reached its fourteenth edition in 2019.
